New beauty buys!

These are just a couple of things that I have picked up recently beauty-wise.

The Tanya Burr Cosmetics lip glosses are something that I have wanted to buy for a while. I used the bright pink shade named 'exotic island' the other day which I borrowed from my sister, but I loved it so decided to buy. The shade comes across really bright, and not as sheer as any others I have tried. The other nude shade I bought is named 'aurora' I have tried yet. I have wanted a nude gloss for quite a while but never bought one so whilst I went into super drug I thought I would try this one.

Next is the No7 Cream Blush in the shade Rose Blossom. I haven't got a really pink blush, and I haven't tried a cream blush so thought I would incorporate the two and buy this one. I haven't worn it on my cheeks yet, but swatching it, it looks beautiful. When you first apply it it is quite a bright pink never-to-be-worn shade, but when you blend it out with fingers the shade looks really pretty. As I said I haven't worn it properly yet, but will update on whether I like/dislike it.

Finally it the Dior BB Creme. This is something that I have been recommended to try for a base to use on holiday. As it is a BB Creme the coverage is much lighter to what I'm used to, but on holiday it's nice not to wear heavy makeup. I got the shade 003, which I think may be the darkest, but I am only going to be using it whilst I'm tanned. I really hope I like it when I try it as it is quite pricey, but can look very beautiful and dewy on the skin.

Any beauty tips on any of these products, or recommendations on any others?

Necklace - Ebay
Kimono - H&M (Sale)
Crop Top - ASOS
Shorts - ASOS
Boots - River Island (Sale)
Bag - Topshop

Last weekend it was my cousins birthday so I was going for some tea and cake at my aunties. This kimono has appeared a couple of times already on here, but I can't stop wearing, which means I can't stop posting!

These little boots I stole from my sister, and they are currently in the sale, so I'm trying to find them in my local stores, but there are only small sizes! But they are super cute, so if you see them they are currently in the River Island sale.

These shorts are another recent buy from ASOS. I needed some shorts that were not hot pants! These are the Mom shorts by ASOS, and I would love them in other colours also!

I'm still purchasing stuff in the sale, any good recent sale buys?

P.S Remember if I can find the link I will link the clothes above!!

New Shoe Furniture

I know this is a bit of a random post but thought I would share my new piece of furniture that I will be using to store my shoes. I mean, who uses bookcases for books anymore?! But anyway this is a really cheap bookcase from Ikea (linked here), only £35, which I think is a pretty decent price. For ages I've kept all my shoes either shoved at the bottom of my wardrobe, or left around the house, so this way I thought it would be neater also, and I might be able to keep my room tidier (not working currently, but will update if anything changes lol).

Thanks for reading then!

A day at the beach

The other day I got to finish work early, and myself and Dan decided to go to the beach! We decided to go to West Wittering, which I have been once before but not for a while. It was lovely! We were actually getting there when some people were leaving (about 3pm), so it wasn't too busy. It's been so warm lately that we even went in the sea, and I personally didn't think it was too cold (Dan thinks otherwise, what a wimp!). On the way home we stopped at a 'pizza pasta' pub, which was nice.

Work, Work, Work

Top - H&M
Necklace - Zara (Sale)
Trousers - ASOS
Pumps - Topshop (Sale)

As I said previously I have been working non-stop recently! I had the idea of doing my weeks worth of outfits, but I am in such a rush running late in the morning I never got a chance! Typical! My uniform is 'smart casual' which is one phrase that I hate, because what is smart casual!?!?

The pumps are a new buy in the recent sales. They are beautiful, but absolutely killed my feet!! (fashion is pain though right?)They are pointed, which is probably where I went wrong as my feet are wide, but never mind! I think they were only 15 pounds, or something like that. the heel bit is leather, and the front point is suede and leather.

What do you count as 'smart casual'?

Virginia Water

Sunglasses - Rayban
Kimono - New Look
Bag - Accessorize
Flip flops - River Island (now in sale)
Necklace - Topshop

I feel like I haven't done a 'lifestyle' post in a while, and if I'm totally honest I haven't had that much of a 'life' over the last 6 weeks, as I've worked soooo much! 6 days a week really takes it out of you!

But anyway, last weekend myself and Dan went to Virginia Water. It was lovely, the weather was lush and it was nice just to have a walk around somewhere. If you live around the area it is a nice place to go, especially if you have dogs! Walking around made me and Dan decide that in a few years we will get a dog!!

When we got back to pay for the car park we saw the note attached (3rd picture). How sweet is this!! its part of the 5 acts of kindness a day. I posted to picture on my instagram and actually found the person who wrote the note, which was lovely.

Lots of love

Smile it's Summer!

Sunglasses - Rayban Clubmaster
Necklace - Zara
Dress - H&M
Kimono - Newlook
Bag - Topshop

What lovely weather we are having again! So nice to be able to go out and do things, rather than not being quite sure what the weather is going to do, although saying that in England the consistency of weather is always something you'll question!

Last week i went out for dinner and met my gorgeous friends from University. We went to Marlow for a bit to eat which was lovely, and this is what I wore! The dress I have worn previously in an outfit post which I will link here

I have to just mention that the gorgeous boots that I am wearing, and have linked above are my sisters. They are BEAUTIFUL. When I found the link I realised how much they were (naughty, naughty Kate), but there are some on the website similar in the sale which I might just have to purchase! These boots are super easy to wear with jeans, dresses, dressed up, dressed down, so surely I can call it an investment?

Hope you are well, and enjoying the summer weather!

Kimono Love

Necklace - ASOS
Jeans - Topshop
Flip Flops - River Island (I think now on sale in store)

I am absolutely loving kimono's at the moment! In my previous post I wore on, and here I am wearing another. I stole this one off of my sister so I didn't have to fork out £40, but I do think some can be quite expensive. This one is really beautiful though!

Another thing I have been loving is these Birkenstock-esque flip flops. I got these a while back, but I think they may have just gone into sale in River Island. They are super comfortable, although they make a REALLY strange sound when walking. It happens only sometimes, but it's like a farting sound, so weird, but hey ho!

One final thing is I am really loving plaiting my hair at the moment. With this style a lll I did was have my hair in two normal plaits all day and took them out and this was the outcome. It has become a really easy/great alternative to curling with heat.

Anyone found any kimonos that are reasonably priced?

OOTD - new sale buys

Necklace - Zara (Sale) - £9.99
Top - Topshop
Kimono - H&M (Sale) - £7
Bag - Topshop

So I may have gone a little crazy in the sales, but I think there are some really good bits I couldn't not pick up! All of the sale items I bought in store, and there were quite a few of each of them so go and try find them if you like them!

I wore this outfit when I went to Windsor today, the weather was quite nice so a lightweight kimono was perfect.

Have you found any good purchases in the sale?
