A DAY IN LONDON WITH EMMA AND MELISSA

Necklace - Zara
Top - ASOS
Cardigan - H&M
Boots - Topshop

Last weekend myself, and two of my best friends (Melissa and Emma) went to London. We were mainly going to visit the London Dungeons, as Melissa had free tickets, but we also went on the London Eye, and out for dinner to Wahaca.

The touristy things were fun to do, Melissa got picked on basically the whole way around the dungeons which just made it hilarious! If you haven't been and eaten at Wahaca then I HIGHLY recommend going. The food is just an amazing mexican goodness! haha. You pick around 3 dishes per person, and all of our were so delicious.

The weather was awful, but then turned out quite nice, which made it difficult for me to choose what to wear. These are some new trousers that I bought in the recent Debenhams Mega-week, so I thought were reasonably priced. I also can't get enough of these trusty cutout boots!

Hope you have a lovely weekend!

SUNDAY'S ARE FOR ROASTS

Necklace - Primark
Pumps - Primark

When Dan was down visiting we went and had a good ol' sunday roast. One of the main things I miss living away from home is a roast! We went to Gunwharf Keys and there is a pub there which did a delicious roast!

As I said in my previous post, it is coming to the end of summer so all weekend I spent wearing skirts without tights as I won't be able to very soon! The skirt I have posted a couple of times previously, but I love it. The top is such a lovely colour (stolen from my housemate). The shoes are a new purchase from primark, only £4! SO cheap! And I love the snakeskin design.

What do you like to do with your Sunday's?

LATEST BEAUTY PURCHASES

I have been using the YSL mascara, but it has been running out so needed another one to replace it. I didn't have enough money to afford that one so I really needed a cheap alternative. I was doing a bit of research on cheaper mascaras and I saw Fleur DeForce did a video of her top 10 under £10, which I found really helpful. After using the mascara for about two weeks I would highly recommend it! The consistency is quite thick, it helps with volume and length, and it is the perfect type of mascara that I like.

This wasn't something that I was going out to buy, but Rimmel had an offer of buying 2 items for £10 so I thought I would try. I'm not totally sure on this, maybe because I've never really used a proper 'primer', but I will hopefully have more of an opinion when I try it for a little longer. I'm interested to see if using this primer helps the foundation stay on longer, because I haven't used the foundation without this yet.

I have been using a Laura Mercier foundation for about 6-9 months now and I have absolutely loved it. It is pretty full coverage, and that is just what I wanted, so when I started running out I knew it was going to be quite difficult to find something I love just as much. Another one of Fleur's videos is her top 10 foundations under £10, which, once again, I felt was very informative and so I went for this one! I like medium to full coverage (or as close to), and this was the one I chose. I have quite liked it so far as an everyday foundation (I am keeping the last bit of my Laura Mercier one for my nights out). The staying power isn't too bad, not as long as I am used to but it is so cheap that I think it's totally worth it.

Link to Fleurs channel here if you want to watch the video's. The foundation one was most recent, but I think she's done bronzers, skincare etcetc.

Any recommendations for 'high street' makeup? I'm now back at University and my budget is tight!

SWEATER AND SKIRT

Jumper - Topshop (last year)
Rucksack - Topshop
Converse

This weekend myself and Dan went to East Wittering beach for a walk, and then went into Chichester town and this is what I decided to wear! It feels like it is definitely getting into the end of the summer so I wanted to wear a skirt without tights as I knew it would be one of my last chances! This skirt I picked up from H&M a while ago, although it is still in store. It is faux leather, but has a quilted look to it. There are also zips for fake pockets, but you can't see them in this photo. I initially bought it to wear on nights out, but this proves that you can make anything day-wear with a sweatshirt and some converse!

What you been up to this weekend?

THE BODY SHOP: SATSUMA BODY BUTTER

Bit of a different post today, no OOTD! I have been seriously obsessed with this body butter from the body shop (linked here). I got it from the Gunwharf Outlet store, so got it SOOO cheap, but looking it up it's originally £13, which I think is quite expensive, but either way the product itself I love.

The texture is extremely creamy (I expected a harder texture), and I have been using it mainly to moisturise my legs. Not only does it moisturise my legs for ages after I've applied it, but also the smell is divine. I don't eat satsuma's but my god is this smell amazing!! After I apply it I go into my housemates' rooms and all they can smell is this stuff! I would highly recommend it, but I would even more recommend it if you get it from the Portsmouth Outlet store as it was so much cheaper than the original price!

Any products you've been obsessed with?

BACKPACK LOVIN'

Sunglasses - Camden Market
Dress - Topshop
Shoes - ASOS

I have recently purchased a rucksack/backpack. I mainly purchased it as I have to walk to University, and sometimes with heavy things in my bag, so last year I was just getting fed up with my handbag. As well as comfort I do quite like the way it looks, it's no handbag, but I think it looks quite cool (lol). There are so many rucksacks about but I thought this all black one would be really easy to wear with every single thing in my wardrobe! Also this is a new dress fro the Topshop Tall section! It's super comfy, but I though I could wear it with or without tights, so would get lots of wear out of it!

BACK TO UNIVERSITY

Top - Zara
Shirt - H&M
Boots - Topshop

Just a small post! As some people might know I am a student, currently studying Geography at Portsmouth University. I am going into my third year *cry*, and I've just moved back down after the summer. I am really looking forward to my final year here. I really love living here, and I feel very lucky to be living by the sea, as it's nice to go down and have a walk when the weather is nice.

I'm thinking of doing some uni-related posts so let me know if you would like to read them!

Anyone else back at uni?
