KILLER BOOT

Cami - Topshop
Jeans - Topshop
Cardigan - H&M
Coat - ASOS
Bag - Topshop
Boots - River Island

In the River Island sale, ages ago, I bought these beauty's! As with a lot of people, most of my wardrobe is black, or at least on a daily basis I will wear black jeans so these snakeskin print boots are perfect to change up an outfit! I got these for around £25, but a few months back, but currently there are so many of these style boots out there at the moment, from leopard print to snake print! My particular favourites are linked here and here, which I REALLY want to buy especially the leopard ones!!

A DAY AT ASCOT

Dress - Topshop
Blazer - New Look
Coat - ASOS
Boots - Topshop

So the weekend before last I went to Ascot races for Dan's birthday. What a good idea for a day out! It's so good, everyone had such a good time, you can bet if you want to, or for me you don't as you are too poor! I would really recommend going up to the upstairs part, I think its called 'premier admission'. It cost £10 I believe. It was busy but nothing like the downstairs section which was ridiculous, and you would never have been able to buy drinks!

This is what I decided to wear! There wasn't a dress code, but there were some people who were super dressy, and others who weren't, so I was in the middle, which was good. I know you can't see how beautiful these boots are so go over to the link and check them out as they are gorgeous! Also look how handsome the boys are!

Hope you are well, I have a few posts to go up so I won't go awol like I have been!!

Lots of love

WEIGHT LOSS AND HEALTH KICK

I thought for today I would do a bit of a different post and talk about my recent weight loss and where I want to get to etc etc. There has been quite a lot of people talking about this due to 'New Year, New Me' but I have tried to lose weight (properly) since October.

I think I'm one of those people who always thinks of themselves as larger than I am. I have never been massively big or anything, but especially going to Uni and those booze-fuelled nights, with the next day  full of food to attempt to cure my hangover, I put on weight. I understand everyone does etc, so this is normal!

At the start of my final year I intended to lose weight. And fortunately that has happened. From October - December I used Protein World meal replacement shakes (link to website here) to help me do this, I used the 'weight loss collection', which is £62. This would mean that for breakfast and lunch I would have a Vanilla protein shake, then have a normal dinner. I would say that probably once a week I didn't do it for two meals, due to the fact that I was probably hungover, or people were going for lunch so I would join etc. Despite this, I think doing this sort of diet helps, especially getting off your 'excess weight' as I like to describe it. So with this I lost a stone over 2 and a half months, but I understand that's slow, but again I haven't put any of that weight back on even with stopping the shakes, so this weight loss is permanent. The fluctuation in my weight is not as what it used to be either. I would recommend trying protein world shakes, even if it is just to try, as I've heard mixed reviews, but it did work for me. The taste isn't bad at all, and the vanilla one it's easy to add to a smoothie, or make pancakes.

Just before December I stopped the shakes as I wasn't losing much more weight. Since then I have been trying to go to the gym 3-5 times a week, me and my friends do classes which I love, especially Arms Legs Bums and Tums, and Step and Tone. I'm also trying to eat relatively healthy.

As I said my weight loss hasn't been drastic; firstly because I wasn't necessarily that big in the first place, and at the moment I've only lost a stone, but also because it's been over a long period of time. I think this is the best way to lose weight as there is less of a chance to put the weight back on, and since stopping the shakes I haven't put any weight on.

Do you have any tips for weight loss?
Sorry about such a lengthy post!!
Lots of love

MY NEW MAKEUP OBSESSION: MAC CRANBERRY

So one of my Christmas presents was this glorious eye shadow, which I am now obsessed with! It's so beautiful, it's from MAC and it's called Cranberry (buy from here). It's a really lovely berry shade, but has more of a red tone than I thought when I put it on my lids, but it's not red, so I would say a mixture of the two (terrible description, apologies). It's actually really nice to wear some colour on my eyes, and even though it is a bold colour on my eyes I have worn it with every shade of lipstick from nude to a bright red, so it really doesn't change any other makeup I would wear.

I bought a new makeup brush which felt like it cost the earth (can buy from here) which is a MAC 224 blending brush. Even though it was ridiculously expensive (like £24 or something?!?!), I genuinely think it was worth it! This brush is all I use to apply this makeup, it puts the shadow onto my lids well, and obviously blends well too.

Have you got any recommendations for my to try new eyeshadow colours?

Lots of love,

NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS

Necklace - Zara
Top - Topshop
Trousers - River Island SALE
Shoes - Topshop SALE

I just thought I would show you what I wore for NYE. It was just a house party with some of my close friends, but I always think you should dress up for New Year. These trousers were only £10 in the River Island sale, how amazing!? Although I only realise now that they are dry clean only… but never mind! These shoes, just how beautiful are they? I first saw them on I dress myselff's youtube video which I will link (here), they are also a sale buy, so what more of an excuse do you need! My eye makeup is MAC Cranberry which I am currently obsessed with!

My new year resolutions? This year I didn't really have any if I'm honest, just to be happy and healthy and to worry less! A bit cliché but I couldn't really think of many specific ones.

Do you have any new years resolutions?

A SUPERHERO CHRISTMAS

I know the fact that people are going back to work tomorrow, and I begin University again seems like Christmas was TOO long ago, but I haven't caught you up on my Christmas so thought I would! Once again my family had a themed Christmas (last year the theme was Disney), this year the theme was Superheroes and Super villains. Like last year, it was really fun, we always try and keep it a secret but that can never really happen in our house! All of the outfits were a mixture of home-made and some savvy ebay buying!

I got really lovely presents from everyone and was extremely grateful. I'm sure in upcoming posts you will see some of the presents! Hope you had a marvellous Christmas!

Lots of Love

MORE BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

WHAT I WORE:
Crop Top - Topshop
Trousers - ASOS
Heels - Faith at Debenhams
Bag - Michael Kors

This is such a versatile crop top, that I just had to pick it up! It's from Topshop and they have it in other colours too, my best friend has the green which is really beautiful, and I believe there is also a dark red/ burgundy colour. I wore it with my favourite trousers, I picked to wear these quite tactically as I knew I would be eating LOTS of food, so a tight skirt would not be the best idea! And then I wore them with my stroppy sandal heels. ALSO please say you noticed the beautiful Michael Kors bag on my shoulder?!? This was a birthday gift from my boyfriend's family, it is beautiful! Finally my lipstick is Diva by MAC.

WHAT I ATE:
We decided to go to Dolce Vita, which is in Reading. The food was amazing, and would highly recommend going there! It is a little bit more pricey than some restaurants, but extremely worth it. Obviously I had 3 courses! First off was the asparagus with poached egg and a tomato based sauce, then chicken and mushroom risotto, and finally sticky toffee pudding!

Hope you are all having a wonderful Christmas period, I can't wait!

Lots of love,
Alice
