CULOTTES

Top - Topshop
Culottes - New Look
Heels - ASOS

Sometimes it's good to wear stuff out of your comfort zone, and for a recent party I did just that! I really like the look of culottes, but never worn them before, but now I will definitely wear them again! I think they are super versatile, with heels, sandals, or trainers I think they will always look super cute. I wore them with this plain top, but you could quite easily wear it with crop tops too. These shoes are really comfy as well as the heel isn't thin, which also makes them easy to walk in!

RED LIP KIND OF DAY

Dress - Topshop
Necklace - H&M
Bag - Michael Kors
Heels - Dorothy Perkins

So I know this is another dressy post right after the last one, and the same shoes but thought I would share it anyway! This dress, once again, is very flattering, especially as it just flows down and is NOT tight in any way! It is quite short, so could be good if something was worn underneath. Due to the neckline being as it is I decided to wear a chocker style necklace, and the gold went perfectly well with the detailing on the shoes, and the bag.

My makeup was done using my favourite combination on colours from the Naked 1 palette from Urban Decay. This lipstick is so good!!! It's relatively cheap from Topshop Beauty, and comes like a lipgloss, but dries matt. I can't find the link on the Topshop website, but this colour is in every store I've been in. I found it not to smudge, and stay on really well throughout the night.

COMING TO THE END OF AN ERA

Dress - Topshop
Necklace - Topshop
Heels -  Dorothy Perkins

So on Thursday was the 'geography ball', and for those of you who don't know me personally, I am currently in my third year, studying geography, at Portsmouth. It was the last geography society event, and it turned out to be the best one! This wasn't instead of grad ball, but that isn't until July.

Anyway, this is what I wore! Such a simple dress but I absolutely loved it. It was a really flattering colour, and the fit was really loose, which I think really suits me. I bought this cute little necklace from Topshop too. The heels were the 'barely there' sandal style, but on the heel part was a side of gold (probably see it easier on the website). All of the outfit turned out to be pretty cheap, especially as I know I will wear it again, especially on holiday.

My makeup was done using my usual go-to foundation by Laura Mercier. It is very full coverage, which for events like this is perfect. My eyeshadow was done using the Naked Palette. On my lips was Soar Lip Liner from MAC, and HoneyLove lipstick, also from MAC. My hair I curled using my babyliss wand.

I absolutely loved getting to be dressed up, and hope you like the outfit too!

H&M LOVING

Shirt - H&M
Jacket - New Look
Jeans - Topshop
Trainers - H&M
Bag - Topshop

At the moment it is 20% off at H&M for students, and recently I have really been loving the store, it has got some really nice pieces, plus so reasonably priced. I have posted these trainers previously, and I think they are a really good copy of the Stan Smith Adidas ones. The other item from H&M is this shirt, which is super cute, can be very casual, and very light weight so perfect for going into warmer weather. Obviously I just wore it with my boring old (but my favourite) black jeans, leather jacket, and black bag.

I had another quick browse on the H&M website and these are a few things that caught my eye, unfortunately I don't really like the H&M website so I won't actually make an order. Despite this, I might have to nip into H&M and see if I can see these items in person!

THE TRENCH COAT

Coat - New Look
Blouse/ Shirt - Topshop
Jeans - Topshop
Cutout Boots - River Island (Last year)
Bag - Zara (Old)

The other day I finally persuaded my mum to take her poor student daughter shopping (yippee!), and she very kindly treated me to a few bits, and one was this lovely trench coat.

I was off for a meal and a catch up with some friends and this was the outfit I wore, which included the trench coat. This coat is such a good piece to have in my wardrobe, especially going into warmer weather, and also it looks really smart. These cut out heel boots, which I have worn previously, are great for when you want to dress up, but don't want to wear proper heels! Finally, this blouse is really nice, and the cross over front is very flattering.

CASUAL OOTD

T-Shirt - Monki
Khaki Shirt - Topshop (similar linked)
Jeans - Topshop (similar linked)
Bag - Topshop
Trainers - H&M

This is just a simple outfit I wore out to lunch, which is super casual! I am absolutely loving trainers at the moment, I want some Stan Smith Adidas which are super old school classics, but these are some really nice and cheap alternatives from H&M. I'm also loving the colour khaki green, and this shirt is super cute!

KILLER BOOT

Cami - Topshop
Jeans - Topshop
Cardigan - H&M
Coat - ASOS
Bag - Topshop
Boots - River Island

In the River Island sale, ages ago, I bought these beauty's! As with a lot of people, most of my wardrobe is black, or at least on a daily basis I will wear black jeans so these snakeskin print boots are perfect to change up an outfit! I got these for around £25, but a few months back, but currently there are so many of these style boots out there at the moment, from leopard print to snake print! My particular favourites are linked here and here, which I REALLY want to buy especially the leopard ones!!

A DAY AT ASCOT

Dress - Topshop
Blazer - New Look
Coat - ASOS
Boots - Topshop

So the weekend before last I went to Ascot races for Dan's birthday. What a good idea for a day out! It's so good, everyone had such a good time, you can bet if you want to, or for me you don't as you are too poor! I would really recommend going up to the upstairs part, I think its called 'premier admission'. It cost £10 I believe. It was busy but nothing like the downstairs section which was ridiculous, and you would never have been able to buy drinks!

This is what I decided to wear! There wasn't a dress code, but there were some people who were super dressy, and others who weren't, so I was in the middle, which was good. I know you can't see how beautiful these boots are so go over to the link and check them out as they are gorgeous! Also look how handsome the boys are!

Hope you are well, I have a few posts to go up so I won't go awol like I have been!!

Lots of love

MORE BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

WHAT I WORE:
Crop Top - Topshop
Trousers - ASOS
Heels - Faith at Debenhams
Bag - Michael Kors

This is such a versatile crop top, that I just had to pick it up! It's from Topshop and they have it in other colours too, my best friend has the green which is really beautiful, and I believe there is also a dark red/ burgundy colour. I wore it with my favourite trousers, I picked to wear these quite tactically as I knew I would be eating LOTS of food, so a tight skirt would not be the best idea! And then I wore them with my stroppy sandal heels. ALSO please say you noticed the beautiful Michael Kors bag on my shoulder?!? This was a birthday gift from my boyfriend's family, it is beautiful! Finally my lipstick is Diva by MAC.

WHAT I ATE:
We decided to go to Dolce Vita, which is in Reading. The food was amazing, and would highly recommend going there! It is a little bit more pricey than some restaurants, but extremely worth it. Obviously I had 3 courses! First off was the asparagus with poached egg and a tomato based sauce, then chicken and mushroom risotto, and finally sticky toffee pudding!

Hope you are all having a wonderful Christmas period, I can't wait!

Lots of love,
Alice

MY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

I AM NOW 21!!!

These are some pictures of when I celebrated my birthday in Portsmouth on Thursday! I had such a good time! Every year I've got to celebrate my birthday with my best friend Emma as her birthday is the 15th! It's actually so nice to celebrate it together! We had some people over for pre-drinks, then we went out clubbing.

The skirt I wore is the same as the pink one I've posted about previously. I really like the shape/style of the skirt, as I think it is quite flattering for my body shape. The crop top I think is a must have to have in your wardrobe, as it will literally go with anything, but has a really nice shape to it. Finally my boots are my good ol' new look ones, which I wear daily (another great buy).

I also celebrated my birthday with my family, and will post about it soon!

Lots of love,

DUBLIN 3 - EXPLORING

For our last day we decided to just have a mooch around the City, and didn't really have many particular plans. The pictures shown are of Trinity College (University in Dublin), and St. Stephen's Green. There was a Christmas market in the green, but to be perfectly honest it wasn't all that, so we just had a walk around instead. Someone I knew went to the zoo, which I wish I did as the pictures looked really good!

Overall, Dublin was really, really good. As I mentioned before if you are at Uni and not sure about going on a certain trip then I would recommend just to DO IT.
I don't think I will rush back to Dublin, as I'm not sure if there is much new stuff to do, but the night life was really good, so for a weekend city break I would recommend.

Hope you liked my Dublin Diaries.

DUBLIN 1

Top - New Look - SO CHEAP TAKE A LOOK
Necklace - Bought on Holiday

So last weekend I went to Dublin!! I went with the Geography social at Uni, and it was AMAZING!

The journey was so long, but after about 12 hours we finally arrived. We stayed at the International Youth Hostel, which was perfectly fine for what we wanted. The overall trip was about £110, which was really quite reasonable. I would highly recommend going on any university trips, I went with two of my best friends but spent all of my time with the gorgeous ladies in the last photograph. Trips are really good to meet new people and build more friendships!

These are just a few pictures from our first night out! We went to a couple of bars, one in Temple Bar, which was really good! The drinks were pretty expensive, but I was already told that before I went so I was prepared.

Take a look back in the next few days with bits I got up to whilst I was there!!
